John Elgee – Partner
John Elgee

John has 20 years experience in property work having qualified as a solicitor in 1984. He currently specialises in commercial property development work acting for both landlords and tenants as well as carrying out residential development work for a number of developers.

Before starting with Elgee Pinks he was for many years a partner in Thomas Eggar solicitors of Reigate. He is closely involved in a number of local organisations.

Nick Pinks – Partner

Nick qualified as a Solicitor in 1981, and has specialised in the fields of Probate Trusts Wills and Tax ever since. He is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Clerk to the General Commissioners for the Epsom Reigate and Tandridge Division, and he is on the Panel of Receivers for the Public Guardianship Office. He is also a Trustee for several local Charities.

Nick currently heads the Private Client Department at Elgee Pinks, which he co- founded with former colleagues from Thomas Eggar, where he was a Partner in the Private Client Department for many years.

Judith Humphreys
Judith Humphreys

Judith Humphreys was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives on 30th November 1998. She carried out her training with Gordon Dadds in Mayfair before joining Thomas Eggar (formerly Church Adams Tatham) in Reigate in January 1997. She specialises in private client law and in particular covers the following:-

• Court of Protection
• Enduring Powers of Attorney
• Trust administration and inception
• General Administration
Marion Marchant

Marion Marchant has considerable experience in the conveying of residential property. Commencing her training longer ago than she cares to remember, with a firm by whom she was employed for some twelve years. Her career has been with firms of a medium size until she joined a leading firm in the South East at their Regiate Branch in 1999. This was a substantial firm with branches in five different locations and a staff exceeding five hundred.

She specialises in residential property, but also has experience in certain specific areas of commercial conveyancing and has carried out work for individual developers. In addition she has much experience in Home Equity Release having acted both for the sourcing companies and subsequently for annuitant/borrowers.

Tim McHugo
John Elgee

Tim McHugo has 20 years broad experience in property work currently specialising in commercial property, leasing, acting for both landlord and tenants in the acquisition and disposal of investment properties.

Tim has also had experience in Bank Security in work, and the property aspects relating to corporate acquisitions and disposals.

Tim joined the Firm in October 2003, from ASB Law where he was one of Property Services Partners.

Lindy Morgan

Lindy Morgan (BSc) has eighteen years experience working in solicitors’ accounts offices. She started working as a Legal Cashier in a local, medium-sized solicitor’s office and progressed to become Accounts Manager of the largest solicitors in the South East.

Lindy’s first role for Elgee Pinks was as Project Manager assisting setting up the new business. She is now the Practice Manager, a role encompassing Accounts Manager and IT Support.

Emma Veasey

Emma has worked for solicitors for approximately ten years starting off as office junior/receptionist then becoming a legal secretary. Emma then received further training whilst working for Elgee Pinks and is now a legal assistant in the residential conveyancing department and assists Marion Marchant and Paul Critchley with all aspects of property transactions.
